About Inapub
Inapub.co.uk actually started as OfficialBeerClub.com back in 2006 before being re-branded and soft launched with it's new features as Inapub.co.uk in August 2009. The original idea was hatched by founder Robin Brattel on a train commuting into London. The first beer club site was launched in March 2007 and allowed users to create their own communities to organise regular events with friends.
Since then the site has gone through 5 major iterations, and significant development of the original idea changing from a primary focus of site users creating communities to Pubs and Bars listing events, advertising their services, facilities, menu's and drinks while also building a loyal community.
All site users are able to find events and places to go to near where they are, or join the communities of pubs/bars they like to receive special offers and event reminders. But everyone can still list their own events, whether public or private and build their own communities.
We also want everyone to feel part of the evolution of the website so we allow all users to add or edit missing information for pubs/bars such as address, opening times, drinks served and naturally everything can be reviewed!
If you've any ideas then contact us and let us know. Or to stay up to date with what we're up to by reading our blog. But please do have a look at our evolution development timeline below to see where we've come from!
All the best
The Inapub Team
Ps: We'd love it if you'd become a fan of ours on Facebook - it's another way to stay up to date with what we're up to.

Version 1 – March 2007
Launched in Early 2007 the first release was very basic – you could:
Start a club
Join a club
Manage a club.
All clubs were private and no-one could search for a club to join:
It was all invite only!
Version 1.1 – July 2007
Building on version 1 and launching fairly soon afterwards;
version 1.1 improved many of the user interfaces, using an improved design.
We also added in extra event and reminder functionality.
SMS reminders were built into this phase but still clubs were basic and event functionality was limited.
Version 2 – Jan 2008
Launching 6 months after Version 1.1, Version 2 again came with a further improved design and made better use of the screen estate.
Chat, rules and event attendance were the main features of this release – although again clubs and events were further improved, so that more details could be added.
Geo based services – like Google Maps API were added.
Version 3 – July 2008
Version 3 was our most significant release to date – following 6 months of intensive work we rolled out the venue database which included venue listing, event listing and community features. This site was a quantum leap from what had gone before. But still there was more to do…
