Golden Lion is a friendly and welcoming community pub in the heart of Swinton. The pub is known for it's family value dining and traditional real ales from the Manchester brewery Joseph Holt, along with a nice selection of premium whiskies and spirits to wet your palate. The pub also boasts two separate heated beer gardens with covered terraces so that you can enjoy sitting outside all year round.

Please note, food is served daily from 12 noon - 8pm except on Fridays and Saturdays where it stops at 9pm.

The Golden Lion caters for small parties in a private area of the pub.

Joseph Holt Bitter 4.0 Joseph Holt Ltd

The beer that made us famous, our Joseph Holt Bitter. Pours a deep amber with a creamy head encompassing full bitterness with a dry malt base.

Tasting Notes: A full drinking and original cask bitter that is rich in both colour and taste. Pours a clear amber, almost ruby, colour with creamy white head. It has a mild fruity and woody aroma, with berry undertones. Drinks smooth with a woody, malty and slightly peppery taste with a hint of floral hops.
