The Game Cock Inn

A child and dog friendly pub serving food with WiFi and a garden in Nr Lancaster.

The Game Cock Inn is a cosy little pub set in the scenic landscape of the Yorkshire Dales. Ideally located for those walkers and cyclists who have earned a much needed pint and hot meal at the end of a day. Lovely accommodation is also on offer.

Our restaurant offers award-winning food in warm and comfortable surroundings, with a great atmosphere. Our cuisine is traditional food but with a French twist.

Whether you eat in our restaurant or choose to sit by the fire in the bar area you can soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the fantastic food we serve.

We also have a great selection of real ales, beers and spirits and as we are French, we know a thing or two about wine!

Nutty Black 3.3 Daniel Thwaites

Discover something a little different with curiously dark and thoroughly delicious Nutty Black. This dark ruby mild is one of only four beers to win Champion Beer of Britain twice, and voted World’s Best Dark Mild at the World Beer Awards.

Tasting Notes: Dark ruby mild with a hint of nuttiness but unmistakable roasted and bittersweet flavours. Brewed with only the finest dark kiln roasted malts and English barley for a bittersweet flavour and lightly hopped with Fuggles and Goldings.

Wainwright 4.1 Wainwright

An exquisitely, golden ale, named after Alfred Wainwright, the renowned Lakeland author who was born in Blackburn.

Tasting Notes: Wainwright is a refreshing golden ale with subtle sweetness from the Maris Otter malts and the special mix of hops give a delicate citrus fruit overtone. Voted World’s Best Golden Ale at the World Beer Awards.
