Grapes Inn

A pub serving food with Sky TV and a garden in Goosnargh, Preston.

The Grapes is properly traditional with roaring fires, flagged floors, oak beams and a cosy 'vault' - in summer there is a spectacular garden terrace and even a bowling green should you need more space to relax with your family. The menu is bursting with flavour and there are plenty of real ales to quench your thirst - we are Cask Marque accredited.

Recently refurbished the place oozes comfort and style - muted walls and tasteful textiles bring a touch of rustic elegance. This is one small 'cluster' of Inglenook Inns & Taverns within the area - be prepared for classic pub food but imaginatively cooked and great customer service.

As you would expect from a hostelry which dates back to 1086, The Grapes is steeped in history. Local legend has it that during the 15th century the incumbent parish preist at the church was also the licensee of the Saracen's Head. The pub has always played a vital part of the community and no less so now.

Drink % Brewery
Landlord 4.3 Timothy Taylor's Brewery

The drinkers' favourite, a 4.3% classic pale ale with a complex citrus and hoppy aroma

Tasting Notes: A strong classic ale with a golden amber colour. It has a scent of caramel, light fruits and roasted malt hints.

Pride of Pendle 4.1 Moorhouse's Brewery

An exceptionally fine balance of malt and hops give the beer a long dry and extremely satisfying taste.

Tasting Notes: An extremely satisfying light amber ale that is balanced with biscuit malt and hops to give a delectably dry taste.

White Witch 3.9 Moorhouse's Brewery

A refreshing, easy drinking blonde ale with a grapefruit aroma and a fresh citrus taste.

Tasting Notes: Moorhouse’s brewers have blended Brewers Gold hops with the ‘noble’ German origin Tettnang variety for blonde style ale that delivers ‘a refreshing fruity springtime flavour with a bit of citrus, flowers and rich peppery spice on the aroma.”
