The pub’s name change is actually its original name, known affectionately by locals as “The Shoes”. The pub has received new floors, furnishings and an open plan bar – the central bar has been replaced with an Edwardian style back bar with full-length mirrors. A new kitchen is now in place and the middle wall has been knocked through to reveal an old chimney, now containing a fire.
