The New Zealand Arms

A child friendly pub serving food with Sky TV in Derby.

We are the Dancing Duck brewery's taphouse, situated 0.2 miles from where it is made beer doesn't get much more local than this!

We're at the heart of the New Zealand community and try very hard to ensure that everyone is made to feel welcome whether they have lived in the are all their life, are studying at the uni or just here for the ducks.

There is something going on most evenings, we have a pool table and dart board and field teams in both as well as a selection of board games which you can borrow.

We've got 3 large screen TV's, which we show sports on.... but are mindful that there are areas of the pub which are sport free.

On our 12 handpumps we offer a great selection of Dancing Duck's own ales as well as guest beers from all over the country.

Our cider bar is the best in Derby a must for any lovers of apples and pears.

We've got Fosters, Kronenbourg and Three Hop on draft for the lager drinkers and a selection of well priced, tasty wines.

Tuesday through to Sunday we serve good value, delicious, home cooked food and we guarantee you won't leave your table hungry.

We allow kids in until around 8pm but ask that they are supervised and don't bother our grown up customers.

Well behaved dogs are also welcome but must be kept on leads and must leave by 8pm.

22 4.3 Dancing Duck Brewery

A wonderfully balanced best bitter with good malty flavour and dark fruit notes, these are offset by a strong hop with a very clean finish. A great thirst quenching beer for any time of the day.

Tasting Notes: Malty, dark fruits

Ay Up/Ey Up 3.9 Dancing Duck Brewery

An eminently drinkable pale session ale.

Tasting Notes: Subtle malt and floral notes are matched splendidly with citrus hop, rounded off with a slightly dry finish.

Dark Drake 4.5 Dancing Duck Brewery

Delicious malty, caramel and liquorice flavours combine wonderfully in a smooth drinking velvety, oatmeal stout with a freshly roasted coffee and toffee finish

Tasting Notes: Malty, caramel, liquorice, smooth, coffee, toffee

Foster's 3.7 Heineken

Foster's is the ultimate ice-cold refreshment. Its balance of subtle fruitiness and vanilla is ideal for the sweeter-toothed lager lover. The perfect session beer to enjoy with mates.

Tasting Notes: A light-coloured lager style, it presents full malt character with a balanced clean hop bitterness. Combined with a slightly hoppy, but yeasty/malty nose, Foster's lager is a full bodied beer with excellent drinkability.

Kronenbourg 1664 5.0 Heineken

Kronenbourg 1664's pleasure is in its light lemon and herbal flavours from the Alsace hops, and clean bittersweet finish.

Tasting Notes: This exceptional beer originated in Alsace in Eastern France and is brewed with the exclusive Strisselspalt hop, known as the caviar of hops, which gives it its unique aromatic and fruity flavour.
