Rose & Crown

An award-winning cask conditioned traditional dark mild. Well balanced malt and hops gives a pleasant aroma and taste, with splendid roasted bitter flavours.

Tasting Notes: Black Dog is a traditional dark mild at 3.6%ABV. It has many CAMRA awards to its name and is a well-known brand in the free-trade. The beer is well balanced with a full roast flavour. The use of crystal malt and roast barley give a deep underlying characteristic flavour, which is balanced with Fuggles hops as the sole variety.

Malty and fruity aroma with a satisfying flavour and bitter finish, Cambridge Bitter is the main brand beer at an ABV of 3.8%.

Tasting Notes: A mild brown bitter with a good balance of malt and hop character give a pleasing session drink. The finest pale ale malt (made from Maris Otter barley) is blended with torrified wheat, invert sugar and a small amount of roast barley, to ensure consistent colour. Hops used are English Fuggles and challenger, a blend that gives a full hop character to the beer.

Pale in colour with prominent hoppy palate and full flavoured finish, Golden Newt is a pale session bitter of 4.1% ABV.

Tasting Notes: The beer has a prominent hop character; a blend of Fuggles, Goldings and Cascade has been used in the recipe to bring the delicate hop flavour and aroma to the fore. The use of Cascade gives a pleasing citrus aroma. Finest pale Maris Otter malt has been blended with wheat malt and rye crystal to provide a full flavoured beer. The lavish use of late hop dominates the malt flavour and results in a satisfying pint.

It is now a permanently available brew with an abv of 4.3%. Brewed with well-roasted malts & generous amounts of English hops, for a satisfying finish.

Tasting Notes: The use of Wheat malt as well as finest Pale Maris Otter malt results in a full rich malty flavour. Challenger hops give good depth to the bitter finish of the beer.

Snickalmas is a Christmas ale at 5.0%abv.

Tasting Notes: A full bodied deep brown bitter with a fruity aroma, the recipe uses Pale Ale Malt, Torrefied Wheat and Roasted Barley. The hops are a blend of Fuggles and Challenger as main hops in the copper with a late hop addition of Goldings.

Mid golden and straw-like in colour, Old Rosie is a cloudy, medium-bodied fruity cider that has a wonderful aroma of wild berry-fruits, honey and vintage cider-barrels.
