Snooty Fox Tavern

A pub serving food in Kirkby Lonsdale, Carnforth.

A quaint English country inn nestled in the famous the market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, just 30 minutes shy of the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the Trough of Bowland. We have a passion for home cooked, quality food; and firmly believe that the best cuisine is honest, homemade food. We have a penchant for Gins, Rums, and craft beers. So why not sit outside in one of the only Beer Gardens in Kirkby Lonsdale with a delicious Gin and Tonic, or curl up by the roaring fire with pint of local ale. We looking to seeing you!

Drink % Brewery
Maltsmiths Pilsner 4.6 Heineken

A deep beer with a satisfying finish

Tasting Notes: Crisp and clean with pine and citrus notes, and an earthy hoppy character

Birra Moretti 4.6 Heineken

The ultimate Italian lager since 1859, Birra Moretti’s special blend of high quality hops creates a smooth, full bodied beer with wholemeal bread top notes which are cut by a delicate citrus note.

Tasting Notes: It is a bottom fermented beer with a golden colour. This colouring is a result of the type of malt used in brewing. Its alcohol content is 4.6% alcohol by volume. It is not a strong beer and is therefore perfect for drinking at lunch, at dinner or for evenings out with friends

Heineken 5.0 Heineken

Brewing beer is a 100% natural process. Heineken beer is made from the purest ingredients.

Tasting Notes: The resin from the female hop flower cones is used to help balance the sweetness of the barley with a refreshing bitterness.

Amstel 4.1 Heineken

Our classic, golden Amstel Beer, with its very distinctive and mildly bitter taste, has over the years become well known beyond the borders of its native country.

Tasting Notes:

Guinness Draught 4.2 Guinness

One of the world's best-loved beers, with sweet smelling aromas of coffee and malt, from the first velvety sip to the last, lingering drop, every deep-dark satisfying mouthful in between is pure beauty… pure Guinness.

Tasting Notes: Unmistakeably GUINNESS®, from the first velvet sip to the last, lingering drop and every deep-dark satisfying mouthful in between.

Best Bitter 3.8 Black Sheep Brewery Plc

The original stalwart of the Black Sheep range. First brewed in 1992, Best Bitter is the iconic Yorkshire Bitter devised and created to offer beer with real flavour and bite. A different breed

Tasting Notes: Brewed with whole flower English hops, Best Bitter packs a genuine spiky bitterness with big character. Challenger, Goldings and Fuggle hops blend to create a beautiful aroma and flavour with kicks of grassy freshness and a big peppery punch. The Maris Otter malt offers a light sweetness that balances against those big bitter characters.

Golden Best 3.4 Timothy Taylor's Brewery

The last of the true Pennine light milds. A crisp, amber coloured beer that makes a refreshing session ale. The smooth and creamy flavour makes it a popular choice close to the brewery, and increasingly in destination pubs across the country.

Tasting Notes: A light mild with a delicate balance of subtle flavours. An easy drinking beer with light floral notes and a smooth, creamy body.

Lancaster Blonde 4 Lancaster Brewery

Golden Blonde beer with slight citrus flavours and a delicate biscuit overtone.

Tasting Notes: Brewed with whole hop varieties of Bramling Cross, Perle, Saaz and First Gold. Well revered and respected amongst Blonde drinkers nationwide.

John Smiths Extra Smooth 3.6 John Smith's Brewery

John Smith’s Extra Smooth was launched in 1993 and is now the nation's number 1 ale.

Tasting Notes: The boffins say it has a distinct cereal character, with malty, caramel notes being complemented by some fruitiness. But we just think it’s a right good pint.

Orchard Thieves 4.5 Heineken

Crafted from the perfect mix of crisp and tart apples for an instant, fresh apple taste

Tasting Notes:

Strongbow Cloudy Apple 4 Heineken

Crafted in Herefordshire with a unique blend of British bittersweet apples, Strongbow Cloudy Apple is a fresh new take on traditional cloudy cider

Tasting Notes:
