There has been a public house on the site of the Vulcan Arms since the middle ages when smuggling was rife and secret tunnels connected the pub to the beach, 100 yards down the road. Today the tunnels are all long gone, and the pub has become a friendly hostelry for both the weary walker and the hungry traveller. Its relaxing interior, full of nooks and crannies, is an ideal location for anyone seeking an intimate atmosphere whilst a restaurant area caters for any special occasion. A log burner provides warmth and focus for cold winter evenings whilst summer days can be spent lazing on the patio or supping in the pub garden. Dogs and children are always welcome.
