Cotham Porter Stores

A child and dog friendly pub serving food with WiFi and a garden in Cotham.

We officially re-opened in August 2013 after completion of stage one of the refurbishment. We have extensively re-decorated, though we have kept the legendary mural and have protected and made a small feature of it. We have drawn up plans for stage two which will be available for locals to see and comment on when we reopen. We will be asking for their feedback on what facilities are the most important for the next stage of the pubs development.

In common with the best pubs in Bristol, we want to ensure that The Cotham Porter Stores is a true community pub. The sort of place where people are comfortable to go and have a quiet drink on their own or to have a fun evening with friends. Our landlord Simon Angus successfully ran the White Lion Hotel on the centre and turned it into a community pub where there is little community and he has done the same here.

As an award winning brewer of real ale, the range of drinks in the pub has broadened under Wickwar’s stewardship. They have four permanent Wickwar ales on hand pull and four rotating guest ales served from direct the cask. A range of cider is also available, in bottle and on draught. In addition to this, a good range of wines is on sale along with a chance to enjoy a latte or an espresso coffee. When you get peckish we also offer a range of locally sourced award winning Pies either on their own or as a meal
