The Cat and Fiddle is Robinsons most famous and iconic pubs. The road was named the cat and fiddle after the pub which sits at its summit 1690 feet above sea level. It is the second highest public house in England. From the pub on a good day you have fantastic views across Greater Manchester, The Peak District national park and the Cheshire Plain. Weather permitting the cat and fiddle is open most days. There are two distinct areas inside the pub the Moorland Bar which with it log fire and alpine style decor attracts the walkers and motorcyclists and there is also the main part of the pub again with log fires is more designed with dining in mind. The food offer ranges from light snacks through to more substantial main meals and daily specials. There is also a carvery on Sundays.
