Situated on the edge of Huntington village, yet only a couple of miles from the centre of historical Chester, the Rake and Pikel is a traditional pub with a warm welcome.

In it’s centenary year, the Rake and Pikel shows how a great traditional pub can stand the test of time and we think that we are able to demonstrate just how good, a Cheshire pub can be. Stylish covered outdoor dining area, flexible venue hire packages for any occasion. The only pub in Chester with a wood fired pizza oven to eat in and take away every Thursday 5pm - 8pm

Doom Bar is a perfectly balanced beer combining subtle yet complex flavours, Doom Bar is both satisfying and deliciously moreish. Tasting Notes: “The aroma of Doom Bar combines an accomplished balance of spicy resinous hop, inviting sweet malt and delicate roasted notes. The mouth feel is a perfectly balanced and complex blend of succulent dried fruit, lightly roasted malty notes and a subtle yet assertive bitterness. The bitterness remains into the finish with dry fruity notes which implore the drinker to go back for more.” Stuart Howe, Head Brewer.
