Hotel De La Mer has been owned and run by the Tillen family for nearly 40 years - since 1976. We pride ourselves on giving our guests a great holiday experience from the moment they book to the moment they leave. With so many guests returning year after year we must be getting something right.
We offer a wide range of packages including mini breaks and festive tinsel & turkey trips.
Set in beautiful Babbacombe Bay the beach and cliffs are right on our doorstep and situated on the South West Coast Path. Babbacombe boasts a number of great tourist attractions to visit including the Cliff Railway, Babbacombe Model Village and Bygones Museum all only a short walk away. Babbacombe Theatre is just up the road, Babbacombe itself is full of lovely shops, restaurants and cafés and St. Marychurch pedestrianised shopping precinct is only a few hundred yards away, so there's plenty to do while you're here.
In 2009 we set up the national charity Torbay Holiday Helpers Network (THHN), to offer free action packed holidays to families around the UK who are affected by serious illness or bereavement. We started by simply offering a few free holidays at our hotel. The THHN is now a registered charity working with over 160 local businesses and accommodation providers all of whom have helped us give over 430 free holidays so far. This is something we are very proud of and a number that is rising by the week.
