Bulls Head

A pub serving food with Sky TV in Glossop.

One of the first landlord's to be recorded at the Bulls Head was Edward Pickford, who in 1801 shot 15 balls from a crossbow fired from the Bull's parlour window into the large window on the north side of the church. The court to hear his case was of course held in the Bull! This pub is steeped in history and full of character with intimate rooms and low beams amongst the original features. Uniquely, this 400 year old stone built pub serves 'Rusholme' curries in the newly converted dining rooms and can boast a great reputation for the quality and condition of its ales and specialty food. Customers can also stay in comfort at the pub, in modern luxurious en suite bedrooms. The Bulls Head is dominated by one central bar which sits at the centre of popular seating/ standing areas, close to a small bar games room and ground floor dining areas. With an adjacent, well equipped catering kitchen the dining areas can accommodate 45 covers. The second floor includes an additional dining room and 4 modern en-suite bedrooms. Externally a small area to the front and side of the pub, is especially popular with customers for enjoying a drink outside on sunny days.
