Established as a hostelry in 1740, the Horse & Jockey has seen many incarnations in its time. Since October 2012, however, when "The Jockey" (as it is locally known) came under new management, things have gone from strength to strength, with the pub being awarded CAMRA East Midland's District Pub of the Year for 2013. The Horse & Jockey, located in Stapleford on Nottingham Road is a real ale pub that offers a relaxing, friendly atmosphere.
