The Hearty Goodfellow

A pub serving food in Southwell.

Located in the well known town of Southwell, famous for Southwell Minister, the Hearty Goodfellow is situated within walking distance of the centre of Southwell on the A612 between Gonalston & Newark.
With a great selection of homemade traditional food, we grow our own herbs from seed & make everything from our pickles to our home cooked ham, all thanks to our fantastic chef!
The Hearty Goodfellow is much more than just a pub, it is a traditional ale emporium with its very own brewery situated less than 3 miles from the pub – Mallard Brewery.
We offer a fantastic drinks range to suit all tastes including a selection of up to 8 hand pulled ales from local, national and micro breweries, 2 cask ciders, a range of premium draft and bottled lagers, fine wines and premium spirits. That's why the Hearty Goodfellow are proud winners of Camra Pub of the Year 2010/11 and also featured in The Good Beer Guide.
We welcome muddy boots & muddy paws, as long as all are well behaved! There is a large car park, huge beer garden & excellent children's play area.

Whatever the reason for visiting the Hearty Goodfellow you will receive a warm welcome from all the team.
