The Robert Nairn

A child friendly pub serving food with WiFi in Kirkcaldy.

This pub is named after a member of the Nairn family, helping to put Kirkcaldy on the map. In 1847, Michael Nairn started a floor-covering factory. He was so successful that others set up similar businesses, and Kirkcaldy became renowned as the ‘linoleum centre of the world’. One of the Nairn’s many gifts to the town included the land (donated by Robert Nairn) to build the Trustees Savings Bank (TSB) – now this Wetherspoon pub.

Belhaven 80 Shilling 4.2 Belhaven Brewery

80 Shilling is Belhaven''s classic, hand-pulled, cask-conditioned ale. It has a classic red appearance in the glass, with a rich and smooth texture.

Tasting Notes:

Comfortably Numb 5.0 Triple fff Brewery Limited

A wonderful winter warmer. Deep amber, strong ale not for the faint hearted. A magical blend of malts with Styrian hops that give a mouth-watering hop aroma, smooth and warming malt flavours with a deep, spicy hop finish.

Tasting Notes:

Corncrake Golden Ale 4.1 Orkney Brewery

A Straw gold Session ale

Tasting Notes: Crisp hops perfectly balance the biscuity maris otter to provide a thirst quenching ale with soft citrus( apricot and peach) flavours throughout. Corncrake is named after the rare and elusive bird which enjoys the natural habitats of Orkney. A donation from the sale of each bottle goes to support the RSPB's Corncrake conservation work in Scotland.

Super Nova 4.8 Black Hole Brewery Ltd

Tasting Notes: Pure gold. Like marmalade made from Seville oranges and grapefruit, the aroma mimics the sweet start but gives into the hops which deliver a dry, lingering bitter finish.

Wavebreaker Blonde Ale 4.3 Orkney Brewery

This brew uses the innovative New Zealand Hop Motueka. This hop alongside a touch of biscuity Vienna malt offers flavours akin to Key lime pie.

Tasting Notes: Blond beer, lively lemon and lime aromas, then stone fruit flavours with biscuit malt and a creamy finish.
