The beer on which the reputation of Highgate Brewery was built, and first produced in 1899.
Tasting Notes: This traditional dark mild is brewed using pale, crystal and black malts supplemented with high maltose syrup. Bitterness is provided using a blend of Progress, Fuggle and Golding hops grown locally. Tasting notes: This winner of three gold medals at international level has a complex palate with chocolate, liquorice, roast malt and fruit notes all discernible. A perfect balance between sweetness and bitterness is evident and makes for a satisfying, yet more-ish beer.
After nearly two centuries of perfecting the brewing process, the name Tetley’s is synonymous with a smooth, tasty pint created from a perfect combination of traditional and modern brewing techniques.
Tasting Notes: Tetley's Cask is an amber Cask Ale first brewed in Leeds in 1822, which has roasted caramel bitter sweetness balanced with distinctly aromatic smooth hoppy flavours and a lingering dry bitter finish
