The White Lion in Westhoughton is a listed building spanning over 200 years old and was originally used as Westhoughton's post office. Situated in the town centre of what was a small village, that has now developed into a bustling little town. The pub is noted as a historical landmark, and has been licensed since the early 19th century and continues to serve great beers by Joseph Holt Brewery today.
The White Lion now focuses on sports events and is popular in the community for horse racing, football, darts and dominoes, where it has several teams flying the flag for the pub.
