The French Horn

A child friendly restaurant serving food and a garden in Alton.

Amongst other restaurants in Reading, The French Horn has been providing hospitality for two hundred years. Originally a coaching inn, the hotel has been run by the Emmanuel family since 1972, with a focus on providing quality food and excellent service. It has a reputation as one of the finest restaurants in Reading with comfortable rooms.
The French Horn sits next to the bridge in the busy little village of Sonning on Thames. The hotel is on the banks of the River Thames, providing a stunning backdrop for our restaurant amongst other restaurants in Reading. Witness lovely views from many of the bedrooms and as you relax in our dining room, looking out at this pretty stretch of the Thames, it’s hard to believe that you are such a short journey away from London.
