A recently-refurbished, award-winning JD Wetherspoon hotel in central Inverness selling the biggest range of ales, lagers, spirits in Inverness with food available from 7am to 10pm 7 days.

We're a 27 bedroom hotel with a large pub attached. We're in the 2013 Good Beer Guide and sell a massive range of ales, lagers, wines and spirits. We're open from 7 (8 at the weekends) for breakfast until midday and our excellent menu is served until 10pm 7 nights.

This beer is brewed in the IPA style ie strong, dry and hoppy (all features to cope with the arduous journey to India) but it certainly isn’t pale. Tasting Notes: This rich, complex & distinctive ale is one of the UK’s most talked about beers for two reasons. Firstly the name generates controversy. This beer is brewed in the IPA style ie strong, dry and hoppy (all features to cope with the arduous journey to India) but it certainly isn’t pale. As per records of the time this beer is ‘a dark beer of the Burton style’. The blackness of this beer is produced using a blend of 5 malts including Chocolate, dark Crystal, Carafa and Smoked malt.Unlike a stout though this beer also packs a mighty punch of hop flavour derived from Summit and Cascade hops. The result is a completely different drinking experience.

The palate is fresh, piercing and focused, with soft malt overtones and pronounced citrus flavours. Tasting Notes: A strong focus of taut, lemony, grapefruit on the finish which is balanced by a dry bitterness.

Packed full of American hops, Jaipur’s hoppiness builds in the mouth and bursts with powerful citrus fruit flavours with a remarkably smooth finish. The fantastic balance of this beer makes for a deliciously drinkable IPA. Tasting Notes: Citrus, Honey, Hoppy

Tasting Notes: “The aroma of Doom Bar combines an accomplished balance of spicy resinous hop, inviting sweet malt and delicate roasted notes. The mouth feel is a perfectly balanced and complex blend of succulent dried fruit, lightly roasted malty notes and a subtle yet assertive bitterness.
