Blue Ball

A child friendly pub serving food with WiFi and a garden in Rutland.

Here at our historic, 17th century inn, we are passionate about offering great food, fine wines, ales & service at sensible prices. Often described as 'a hidden gem', we're slightly off the main Oakham to Leicester road which runs through the idyllic village of Braunston-in-Rutland. But don't worry - you'll easily find us at 6 Cedar Street, opposite All Saints Church, just 2 miles from Oakham & within easy reach of Rutland Water. Put LE15 8QS in your sat nav.
We usually have 2 x real ales on at any time all on a rotational basis so there is often something new to try!
We also welcome dogs in our garden area and our drinking bars - however please note dog's are not allowed in the areas that we serve food.

Wells Bombardier is an iconic real beer loaded with distinct English brilliance. The rich, full-bodied nectar is a lingering reward for the ol' tonsils.

Cumberland 4.0 Jennings Brewery

A superb golden coloured ale, brewed with English pale Ale malt and using only the finest English aromatic hops. Traditionally brewed using pure Lakeland water drawn from the brewery’s own well

Tasting Notes: Deep, golden, hoppy, spicy bitter

Sharp's Doom Bar Amber Ale 4.0 Sharp's Brewery Ltd

Doom Bar is a perfectly balanced beer combining subtle yet complex flavours, Doom Bar is both satisfying and deliciously moreish.

Tasting Notes: “The aroma of Doom Bar combines an accomplished balance of spicy resinous hop, inviting sweet malt and delicate roasted notes. The mouth feel is a perfectly balanced and complex blend of succulent dried fruit, lightly roasted malty notes and a subtle yet assertive bitterness. The bitterness remains into the finish with dry fruity notes which implore the drinker to go back for more.” Stuart Howe, Head Brewer.
