The Yews

A pub serving food with WiFi and a garden in Leicester.

The Yews pub in Great Glen, Leicester is situated off the main A6 just outside Oadby heading towards Market Harborough. Built in 1846 our charming pub has been used for many things including a rest home for soldiers in World War 2. Set in large grounds with plenty of parking including disabled spaces we reportedly have the largest beer garden in Leicestershire.

Drink % Brewery
Abbot Ale 5.0 Greene King PLC

Full flavoured, smooth and mature taste with fruit cake characters , a malty richness and superb hop balance.

Tasting Notes: Mahogany in colour and brewed for longer to create a rich malty, and mature flavour.

Landlord 4.3 Timothy Taylor's Brewery

The drinkers' favourite, a 4.3% classic pale ale with a complex citrus and hoppy aroma

Tasting Notes: A strong classic ale with a golden amber colour. It has a scent of caramel, light fruits and roasted malt hints.

Yardbird 4.0 Greene King PLC

The legendary American jazz saxophonist Charlie Parker was nicknamed ‘Bird’ – short for ‘Yardbird’ – and this pale ale celebrates his pioneering spirit of invention and improvisation.

Tasting Notes: Full of hops and with a lasting fruity flavour, this beer is inspired by bold American pale ales.
