Although a smart North London gastro pub, the Clissold Arms hasn’t forgotten its most famous performers.

Members of great British band, The Kinks, lived over the road and performed their first and last gigs here. Specifically, it was the Davies brothers who lived opposite the pub and the bands two performances at the pub took place in 1960 and 1996, respectively.

The pub’s specially dedicated Kinks Room is adorned with memorabilia and is the pride of Kinks fans from all over the world.

Mad Goose (4.2% ABV) is a zesty pale ale with a smooth and citrusy finish.

Tasting Notes: Brewed with English Maris Otter, Caragold and Wheat malts, with Hallertau Northern Brewer bittering hops and Cascade and Willamette aroma hops. Winner of five awards.

The Terrace 1 available

This beautiful space is fully decorated with fairy lights, candles, mirrors, flowers and an artificial lawn. It has a retractable roof top for the summer and is fully heated in winter. The Terrace is very popular for children’s parties, it is safe and contained and we are happy to provide toys and mats upon request. Seats 60 or 80 standing.

The Kinks' Room 1 available

This is a very special room for Rock music enthusiasts and especially for fans of The Kinks. The famous band held their first and last gigs in this room at the Clissold Arms. Today, it is full of Kinks’ memorabilia and is a great space to sit and have lunch or dinner and of course to book for an event. Every evening from 9pm our Kinks’ Room transforms itself into the Kinks’ Lounge, a more casual space where you can relax and enjoy a cocktail and the later part of your evening with friends. Seats 65 or 90 standing.

Shed 1 available

The Shed at the Clissold Arms is ideal for private dining. We can also open it up so it can be used as an extension to the Terrace. Local artists’ work is featured on the walls giving it an even more personal feel, all work is for sale. Seats 18 or 25 standing.
