Coach and Horses, Soho

A pub serving food in Soho.

The Coach and Horses, 29 Greek Street, Soho, London is a public house notable for its association with the columnist Jeffrey Bernard, the staff of Private Eye magazine, other journalists and as a haunt for Soho personalities. Its former Landlord, Norman Balon, became famous too – in part for his self-proclaimed title of "London's rudest landlord", but also, presumably, because of his proximity to writers who document his actions and anecdotes.

Drink % Brewery
Bombardier 4.1 The Eagle Brewery

Wells Bombardier is an iconic real beer loaded with distinct English brilliance. The rich, full-bodied nectar is a lingering reward for the ol' tonsils.

Tasting Notes:

Hobgoblin - Ruby Beer 4.5 Wychwood Brewery

Traditional Ruby Beer. Hobgoblin is a blend of smooth rich flavours from chocolate and crystal malts, combined with a refreshing bitterness from English Fuggles hops and a dash of citrus aroma from Styrian Goldings.

Tasting Notes:

London Pride 4.1 Fuller's Brewery

In recent years its popularity has grown to the extent that it is now Britain’s leading premium ale: a welcome fixture in many pubs and off licences around the country, and now winning new friends abroad.

Tasting Notes: Rich, smooth and elegant on the palate, it draws to a clean, satisfying finish with beautifully balanced bitterness.

Wandle 3.8 Sambrooks Brewery

Named after the Thames tributary, flowing by the brewery, Wandle Ale has enjoyed critical acclaim from drinkers, bloggers and judges alike.

Tasting Notes: Lightly Spices, Quaffable, Lemons
