Pleasant session bitter. A gentle blend of hoppy bitterness leads to a light refreshing finish.
Tasting Notes:
Solid malty aroma gives this copper coloured beer a good start. The well matched fruity sweetness compliments the malty base. As the beer progresses, a bitter-sweet hoppiness becomes dominant.
A malty straw coloured ale, refreshing and easy drinking. A welcome and popular addition to the Chalk Hill range.
A traditionally robust strong ale. Reminiscent of rich fruit cake, the fruity overtones are counter-balanced by a mellow richness.
A throwback to the milds of history. Although a roasted barley flavour dominates throughout, there is a surprisingly bitter edge and a defined vinous quality to this dark red ale. This shows why milds were once so popular.
The malted "Ovaltiney" taste matches the flowery aroma. An inherent sweetness and chewy feel to a redish brown beer that needs to be savoured slowly.
