Brewed to 4% it's the perfect pint for a wee session with some friends. A crisp and fresh beer perfect for any occasion.
Tasting Notes: Subtle hop taste, floral aroma and crisp and fresh finish.
Delicate floral hop aroma. A subtle, well balanced finish with good character. A pale golden beer, clear tasting, in a continental style.
Tasting Notes: Nose: malt biscuity malts, herbal hops with discernible lemon notes infuse to create a beautiful aroma. Palate: light toasted malts with a taste of citrus hops. The sharpness is tampered down by a creamy smoothness. Appearance: light golden ale with a glowing warm honey hue. Finish: medium to light, pleasant, more sweet than a bitter, with a hint of golden syrup. Comments: a delicate floral happy aroma. A subtle, well balanced finish with good character.
An American Style IPA with Attitude, which is dry hopped giving it a great geranium & grapefruit hop aroma. It has a refreshing citrus body with a dry lemon zest bitter finish.
Tasting Notes: Nose: Malty and floral with citrus hop scents and mild fruitiness. Palate: Much of the same on the tongue as on the nose. Citrus hops throughout and a mild bite with a bitter, resiny finish. This American style IPA has been dry hopped for extra flavour. Appearance: A bright golden beer. Finish: Clear, golden body with a bubbly head and good carbonation throughout.
Clyde Puffer is an oatmeal stout with a coffee and nut aroma. Sweet and mellow body with a low hop taste, hints of coffee and dark chocolate and a smooth silky finish.
Tasting Notes: Nose: Lively on the nose. Roasted malts with a tinge of oats along with some sweetness and toffee. Hints of fruit and dark berries also arise. Palate: Sweet malts and oats with a detectable trace of coffee. A beautiful Creamy taste throughout with some good hits of chocolate and toffee, finishing up with dark fruits. Appearance: Dark brown with a thumb-sized bubbly head that is an off-white to light brown colour. Finish: Medium bodied, lively carbonation.
Rich in aroma of malt hops, with ripe fruit. Full malt with a deep bitter finish. A traditional style ‘Scottish Heavy’.
Tasting Notes: Nose: rich caramel notes, followed up by dried fruit flavours that fill the nostrils. Palate: dominating notes of rich caramel malts hit the taste buds. The hops are nominal but detectable. Flavours bind together to create a clean and fruity after taste. Appearance: rich mahogany brown with a nutty creamy brown head. Finish: good body, not overly thick, with a medium carbonation. Comments: the roasted qualities combined with a pleasant bitter chocolate finish make this a well rounded "Scottish Heavy", worthy of a few pints.
Smooth dark amber malty brew with a warm ginger aroma and a sweet bitter & spicy finish, the perfect beer for the cold winter nights.
Tasting Notes: Nose: Spicy ginger up front partnered with some caramel malts in background. Palate: Caramel malts provide a base for a vibrant range of flavours such as aromatic spices; cloves, redcurrant fruit and fiery ginger. Spicy hops give a resiny aftertaste which leads to a rather dry smoky finish. Appearance: Clear ruby red. Finish: Medium to light bodied with a medium thick texture and a decent clean finish.
Perfumed hop aroma, delicate balance of malt and fruit with a dry hop finish. A pale amber coloured refreshing session ale.
Tasting Notes: Nose: perfumed floral hops aroma. Palate: striking flavours of oak wood, toffee with a hint of almond contend against a fruity finish. Nice dry hopped flavour complete the beer. Appearance: pours a beautiful hazy amber color with decent white head. Finish: light mellow, light oily and soft low carbonation. Comments: a golden hazed beer, definitely a refreshing "session ale" with a delicate balance of malt and fruit with a dry hops.
Bottle conditioned beer was chosen due to the increasing demand for the excellent characteristics and flavour produced by having a beer with live yeast in the bottle.
Tasting Notes: Nose: Strong essences of orange, lemon and a slightly tropical aroma are represented. Palate: Suggestions of tropical fruit flavours with some Cascade and Styrian hops. Mild spice features too. Appearance: Clear copper red in colour with a thick open white head. Finish: Medium bodied and very fruity throughout with a slight citrus tang and hints of alcohol too. The carbonation is medium to high and the finish is a sweet one.
Chestnut red session ale with a nutty aroma, toasted caramel hints and a deep malty palate. Very drinkable bitter – the malty flavours with a slight touch of hop creates a thoroughly enjoyable session beer.
Tasting Notes: Nose: An Alluring nutty aroma. Followed-up by Toasted malt, toffee, and faint hint of aniseed. Palate: Follows the nose. Toasted malt, burnt toffee, and the liquorice flavouring is prevalent. Some light floral hops linger to produce a welcomed bitterness. Appearance: Pours a dark chestnut shade, with a white head. Finish: Body is medium, oily texture with an ever so slight carbonation.
Isle of Arran Sunset Premium beer brings together a unique balance of nature and freshness only rarely found. Isle of Arran Sunset delivers a mature taste of receding brightness and leaves a lingering colourful glow.
Tasting Notes: Nose: Citrusy grapefruit notes are abundant, backed up with some essences of used leather and a scent of smokiness to finish off. Palate: Powerful flavour of citrus fruits from the hops. There are dry notes of grape fruit, wood, some smoke just like the aroma of the beer. Appearance: Dark golden hue with great clarity, fluffy white head in the company of a gentle carbonation. Finish: Soft fizzy mouth feel throughout with a rather clean and crisp finish; very light-bodied and mild flavoured ale.
