Farmers Arms

A pub serving food in Richmond.

Welcome to the Farmers Arms Scorton. Whether you are a local, on holiday in Yorkshire, or have travelled miles to find us, we promise that here at the Farmers Arms Scorton, we will provide you with everything you want from a traditional rural pub – quality ales and freshly cooked local food, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Set in the quaint rural village of Scorton (near Richmond) in North Yorkshire, the Farmers Arms is both the heart of village life, and a great place for vistors to enjoy traditional food and good company. Overlooking the medieval village green in historic Scorton, the Farmers Arms is at the heart of village life, with fortnightly quiz nights and its own darts, dominoes and quoits teams.

The pub and its staff provide themselves on serving the community, thinking local in terms of events, produce, suppliers and providing a quality experience for all customers. The pub has recently changed hands (December 2010) and in November of 2011 has been tastefully refurbished, to update the otherwise “tired” feel to the place yet up-keeping the traditional village theme that is loved by staff and customers alike.

Best Bitter 3.8 Black Sheep Brewery Plc

The original stalwart of the Black Sheep range. First brewed in 1992, Best Bitter is the iconic Yorkshire Bitter devised and created to offer beer with real flavour and bite. A different breed

Tasting Notes: Brewed with whole flower English hops, Best Bitter packs a genuine spiky bitterness with big character. Challenger, Goldings and Fuggle hops blend to create a beautiful aroma and flavour with kicks of grassy freshness and a big peppery punch. The Maris Otter malt offers a light sweetness that balances against those big bitter characters.

Guinness Original 4.2 Guinness

Swirling clouds tumble as the storm begins to calm.

Tasting Notes: Unmistakeably GUINNESS®, from the first velvet sip to the last, lingering drop. And every deep-dark satisfying mouthful in between.
