Goathland Hotel

A child and dog friendly pub serving food with WiFi and a garden in Whitby.

The Goathland is family run by Keith, Jean & Hannah Richardson with Sophie Newlyn and their small friendly team of staff. We produce both good pub food and drink in a friendly atmosphere to which our guests constantly return.
The pub is well known locally and internationally as the 'AIDENSFIELD ARMS' in Yorkshire Televisions very popular 'HEARTBEAT' series. However Goathland and our moors are what we are proud of.

Best Bitter 3.8 Black Sheep Brewery Plc

The original stalwart of the Black Sheep range. First brewed in 1992, Best Bitter is the iconic Yorkshire Bitter devised and created to offer beer with real flavour and bite. A different breed

Tasting Notes: Brewed with whole flower English hops, Best Bitter packs a genuine spiky bitterness with big character. Challenger, Goldings and Fuggle hops blend to create a beautiful aroma and flavour with kicks of grassy freshness and a big peppery punch. The Maris Otter malt offers a light sweetness that balances against those big bitter characters.

Landlord 4.3 Timothy Taylor's Brewery

The drinkers' favourite, a 4.3% classic pale ale with a complex citrus and hoppy aroma

Tasting Notes: A strong classic ale with a golden amber colour. It has a scent of caramel, light fruits and roasted malt hints.
