The Famous Green Man Pub was built in the 1930’s in the heart of Ewell Village which was voted one of the best places to live in the UK on Channel 4’s programme “Best of Britain”. The Famous Green Man, which had been allowed to deteriorate, was taken over in 2005 by the present owners John Kerwood and Clive Lane, who refurbished the pub to bring it back to its former glory and it is now a thriving destination pub. The varied and excellent food, wine and beer offerings are served by friendly professional staff in convivial surroundings and attract an eclectic mix of families, business people and groups of friends who favour quality. You can eat in any of the three bars, with live sports being shown in the sports and snug bars, and the lounge being a TV free zone, or you may choose the more formal surroundings of their separate restaurant which seats forty people comfortably.
