The Happy Man

A pub serving food with Sky TV in Englefield Green.

Originally it used to be two Victorian cottages, then the building was converted to a pub to serve the workers building Royal Holloway College. It has recently been refurbished but virtually unchanged, it is now a popular student haunt, which only adds to the fun and atmosphere of the pub! Four hand pumps dispense a constantly changing range of guest ales from microbreweries around the country! The landlord; passionate about real ale, sometimes has additional beers on gravity from the cellar. Darts is played and food is available noon until 8pm. The rear patio has a heated smokers' refuge.

Pilcrow Pale 4 Dorking Brewery

Pale and hoppy

Tasting Notes: Pale and hoppy, this modern classic uses the new American hops, Citra and Chinook for, you guessed it, vibrant citrussy flavours.

Respire 4.0 Black Sheep Brewery Plc

The Yorkshire Dales is in our blood, and in our beer. Protecting this beautiful landscape is vital to us at Black Sheep, and every drop of Respire contributes to tree planting in the Yorkshire Dales. Officially carbon neutral, Respire is the true pint with purpose. We footprinted the brewing, packaging and distribution of Respire, and offset this with official carbon credits, funding high impact bio-diversity projects. Citra and Chinook hops take the lead in this fresh and hoppy Session IPA, packing bright citrus, tropical fruit and crisp pine notes. Backed up with light, sweet maltiness, rounding out in a refreshing bitter finish. A breed apart.

Tasting Notes:

Yankee 4.3 Roosters Brewing Company Ltd

Light and easy-drinking, it’s a beer that showcases the floral and citrus fruit aromas of the Cascade hop, grown in the Yakima Valley in Washington State.
