Built around 1860 and originally two terraced houses the Alexandra arms survived a major redevelopment when the rest of the estate was demolished. Now standing between Rugby's John Barford Car park and new private housing ,the Alexandra Arms boasts its own 'in house 'Atomic brewery. The Alex has previously won Rugby Camra pub of the year on Seven occasions and is well renowned for the selection and quality of its real ales. The small L shaped lounge bar is ideal for a quite drink or a meal from the extensive lunchtime menu.
A corridor leads to the large rear bar where pool, Skittles, darts are played and is also home to the legendary Alex Jukebox. From the bar you can reach the Garden which at one time was a bowling green.
The garden is ideal in the summer for relaxing in the sun with a fine pint of ale and a bite to eat. Whatever your preference the Alex offers it all!
