The Joseph Arch Pub and Country Kitchen is situated in the beating heart of the village of Barford. Formally the Red Lion, the pub was renamed The Joseph Arch after the man himself who was an English politician, born in Barford. Joseph Arch played a key role in what Karl Marx called the "Great awakening" of the agricultural workers in 1872.
