Bunny Hop has been expertly brewed to deliver a clean, dry mouthfeel with no compromise on hop aroma and a full, hoppy flavour profile.
Tasting Notes: Bunny Hop has a pronounced bitterness, similar to a pilsner and aromas of fresh grass, pine and grapefruit, thanks to the generous use of Chinook, and a dash of El Dorado offering apricot and peach notes.
James Minkin who co-founded Purity Brewing Company back in 2005 with close friend Paul Halsey, was affectionately known to many as ‘Jimbo.’ A qualified accountant by trade, Jim had a huge passion for brewing which led him in the early days to take on the mantle of Head Brewer at Purity. Brewer of the original line up UBU and Pure Gold, Jim’s passion for great tasting beer with real character lives with us still today. In the early years of Purity, Jim was the driving force of sustainability at Purity and led the project of our passive wetland system. It was his passion and dedication to brewing with a conscience that was a key factor in the Brew Team and Paul Halsey’s decision to brew a Best Bitter in memory of Jim.
Tasting Notes: Jim spent many years in and around Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire so it felt only right to use hops from these areas. Again, using only, the finest hops from our long-standing friends Charles Faram – JIMBO is brewed with Pilgrim for that initial bitterness and then the classics Fuggles and Goldings as well as Emperor – a brand new hop as part of the Charles Faram hop breeding program. These classic and new wave hops give JIMBO aromas of mixed berries, crisp apple, yet all balanced with a well-rounded nutty bitter finish.
Lawless respects the rules, just as long as they are our rules! This is brewing with an irreverent, individual mindset
Tasting Notes:
Longhorn IPA as in expertly brewed craft ale named after the herd of Longhorn Cattle that feed of Purity’s spent grains
Mad Goose (4.2% ABV) is a zesty pale ale with a smooth and citrusy finish.
Tasting Notes: Brewed with English Maris Otter, Caragold and Wheat malts, with Hallertau Northern Brewer bittering hops and Cascade and Willamette aroma hops. Winner of five awards.
This deep red-coloured beer uses an experimental British hop variety and generous quantities of malt.
Tasting Notes: It has a distinctively rich, full-bodied flavour.
A sparkling orb, searing through an azure sky and a glass of ‘Pure Gold’ in the hand, worries can wait a while, life is all the better for moments like this.
Pure UBU (pronounced ‘OO-BOO’) is named after our faithful canine friend ‘UBU’, a maverick, brim full of character and the unofficial protector of our secrets.
Saddleblack is a gnarly black beer using chinook and cascade hops to help give a full smoky and citrus aroma.
Light copper coloured, wonderful aroma of pine and tropical fruits, leading to a full, complex, fruity flavour and pronounced, lasting bitterness.
