The Gaping Goose is a quaint traditional English pub which serves an excellent selection of real cask ales and lagers. It was traditionally a coaching inn dating back to some 300 years and it is rumoured that Dick Turpin frequently stayed overnight on his way to York. We offer a wide range of award-winning cask ales. Tetleys Bitter, Theakstons and Wainwrights are our permanent cask ales with 2 other guest ales being changed and served each week. We can now boast to having Birra Morretti, along with serving Fosters, Guinness, Strongbow, Kronenburg and John Smith's as well as a good selection of wines and spirits. Local, award-winning Wilsons Pork Pies are available each lunchtime along with a wide selection of hot drinks.
