The Muddy Duck is flying high after its recent refurbishment, breathing new life into the 17th century former King’s Arms – whilst holding dear and being sympathetic to the beauty of the building’s historic fabric… A ghostly one at that, as we’re heralded as Wiltshire’s most haunted pub.

Monkton Farleigh is our beautiful host village – a stony, hillside hamlet a mere 5 miles from the centre of Bath.
Our wisteria clad, stone exterior envelopes a series of traditional picnic tables, for perching with a pint and some nibbles. To the rear, our garden is pinned with colourful, bistro style seating taking in the beautiful farmland that surrounds us.
Inside, we have pockets of characterful areas you can call your own – be it the sunken snug to enjoy papers by the fireside, our generously spaced pub seating, a stool at the bar or a table in the relaxed restaurant.
