The Star Inn

A child and dog friendly pub serving food with Sky TV and WiFi and a garden in Pershore.

The Star Inn is a beautifully maintained 15th century family run coaching inn.

The pub itself is made up of a beautifully refurbished bar and snug with welcoming open fires through the cold winter months. The restaurant is all about the food, supported by the many cookbooks that sit on the sideboard for diners to read. These are complimented by a few of Chefs own awards and achievements which are proudly on display.

To the outside of the pub we are pleased to say we have a wonderful sun terrace, suitable for either drinks or dining and our riverside beer garden proudly backs onto the River Avon.
With four recently refurbished double en-suite rooms on the first floor of the pub, it makes for a wonderful place to stay and dine and enjoy Pershore and the surrounding areas.
At The Star, the atmosphere and service is friendly & informal with selection of local beers, a choice of continental lagers and great wines.

Like so many things, we have discovered food is best kept simple but done well. We have established ourselves as a venue that offers high quality food with a relaxed dining. Chef Proprietor Bruce Lawrence, a Federation of Master Chefs member, and his team serve a range of quality dishes using locally sourced produce and ingredients, to achieve flavoursome and seasonal dishes.

With the Sun Terrace or Riverside Beer Garden that makes the most of the British summer or the roaring log fires and cosy corners to warm you up in the depths of winter, excellent food, attentive staff and a relaxed and warm welcome awaits you.

Drink % Brewery
Bob 4.0 Wickwar Wessex Pub Co Ltd

Brewed using locally sourced ingredients and 3 varieties of malt with Challenger and Fuggle hops to produce a well balanced hoppy palate.

Tasting Notes: A dry, moreish bitter

Hereford Pale Ale - HPA 4.0 Wye Valley Brewery Ltd

A delightful straw-coloured ale with a wonderful citrus hop aroma. Truly distinctive.

Tasting Notes: HPA is a truly delightful pale ale. It’s smooth on the palate, and boasts a citrus hop aroma leading to a balanced bitter finish. Locally grown Target and Celeia hops play an important part in making this such a distinctive beer. With Maris Otter pale malt and malted wheat also being used, this is very much a pale ale with all the right ingredients.
