The Champion Shell Inn is one of Ayrshire’s oldest Inns.
Dating back to the 1700's as an Inn & Hostelry, the building features a unique 'Clam Shell', some say it was a welcoming sign for weary travellers and pilgrims. Owned by Proprietor Ronnie Wilson for many years, the Inn still retains all it's historical features and as a tribute to its namesake, The Champion Shell has a lectan shell proudly displayed at the entrance, above the doorway.
