An Art Deco treasure designed by E.B. Musman in 1936 and a McMullen pub since 2010.

Art Deco and proud, this distinctively individual pub is one of McMullen’s now locally famous Chicken & Grill pubs, which are uniquely and individually designed with service that’s personally crafted to suit you.

Our fare includes freshly spit-roasted chicken, fabulous ice cream sundaes, locally crafted real ales, hand selected and personally tested (hic!) wines – all to be enjoyed by our roaring fires or alfresco when the sun has his hat on.

Spitfire Amber 4.2 Shepherd Neame

The beer is named after the legendary Spitfire aeroplane designed by RJ Mitchell. The versatility of the aircraft and the courage of its pilots were essential to victory and were a key symbol of the spirit of that time.

Tasting Notes: An infusion of three Kentish hops adorns this beautifully balanced, blood-orange tinted British bitter with an acutely aromatic allure. Hints of marmalade, red grapes and pepper are thrust from a springboard of warm, mellow malts. The floating fruity finish signs off with a smidgen of spice and raspberry.
