A deceptively easy-drinking strong beer, subtle and easy-going, fruity and gorgeous.

Tasting Notes: Mid-straw coloured beer with aromas of tropical fruit and mangoes. The beer is sweet all the way through, balancedby some bitterness at the finish. Flavours are fruity with toffee apples and bananas. A clean tasting beer, sweetish but not cloying.

Agent of Change 4.0

Their fourth annual collaboration with the Festival of Debate team – Agent of Change, a sessionable 4.0% pale ale perfect to ponder over.

Tasting Notes: 

Black Mass 6.66

A beast of a brew, ready to drink now or cellar for a few months to let the flavours develop.

Tasting Notes: Very dark ruby ale with a rich, creamy head. Aromas of dark chocolate, coffee and burnt toast. Full bodied and warming with strong flavours of bitter chocolate, fruitcake, raisins and hints of cherries. A lingering bitter finish.

Brimstone 3.9

A modern take on the classic English bitter with black malt for colour and US hops for flavour.

Tasting Notes: A well balanced, russet brown beer made with Amarillo hops. Aromas of malt loaf and marmalade with someburnt toast coming through from the dark malt. Flavours include coffee, toffee and liquorice with underlying spice and cloves.

Tasting Notes: Full bodied chocolate stout. Smooth vanilla undertones from the use of fresh vanilla pods..

Contemplation 4.7

Full bodied pale golden beer with a lovely hop character. A combination of New Zealand and American hops lead to a pleasant fruity palate and a refreshing bitter finish.

Daily Bread 3.8

Brewed to satisfy the traditional English bitter drinkers in our own pub, ideal for those in yours.

Tasting Notes: A classic copper coloured English bitter. Well-balanced, copper coloured beer with malty flavours and a smooth bitter finish. Subtle hop characteristics from traditional Fuggles hops.

Tasting Notes: A pale beer, made with fabulous Nelson Sauvin hops. Aromas of elderflower and grapes. Strong citrus flavours, especially grapefruit. Long lasting bitter finish. Very refreshing and packed full of flavour

DR Mortons Christmas Hamster 4.10

Deep golden, smooth and gorgeous..

Tasting Notes: A Christmas hamper of biscuit and caramel derived from the caramalt used and a lemongrass and passionfruit citrussiness evolving from the New Zealand hops.

Horrible Skellington 4.90

A rich, dark, full-bodied oatmeal stout.

Tasting Notes: Full-on roasty flavours with hints of liquorice, some dryness and a balanced bitter finish. One to savour!

Matins 3.6

Very pale straw-coloured beer with herby aromas.

Tasting Notes: . Brewed using extravagant amounts of North American hops. The flavour is pleasant and grassy with hints of green peppers and a moderate bitterness. It has lots of body and flavour for its gravity and is crisp, fresh and clean tasting; an excellent session beer.

Moonshine 4.3

A multi award winning beer and Champion beer of Yorkshire 2012

Tasting Notes: A beautifully balanced pale straw-coloured premium bitter. Distinctive floral aroma, leading to a predominantly citrus taste, with grapefruit and lemons to the fore. A quenching bitter finish. Our most popular beer!

Speculation 4

A golden ale that has a well balanced, smooth and biscuity taste.

Tasting Notes: The addition of Munich malt gives biscuity favours to this fruity, hoppy beer with a pleasant bitterness to finish.

Winter 5.20

A full flavoured pale beer.

Tasting Notes: A strong IPA made with 100% Maris Otter low colour malt and a combination of two New Zealand hops. Hop flavours predominate with summer fruits and earthy and grassy flavours.
