London's Original Nitro-Porter. Taking inspiration from our flagship beer, The Porter, we wanted to brew a truly sessionable London Porter. What better way to create an effortlessly drinkable dark beer than to brew it with nitro? The resulting creaminess and smooth mouthfeel balance perfectly with the subtle roasted notes of coffee and velvet chocolate. This beer brings togther the rich history and heritage of London Porters with the modern brewing. The result is a beer that is easy drinking without sacrificing its character. We may be small and independent but london black is our local answer.

Tasting Notes: 

The orignal session beer, Ordinary Bitters formed a cornerstone of English drinking culture. Perfeclty balanced between malt sweetness and hop bitterness, our interpretation is brought up to date wiht the use of US Chinook hops. Delicate hop aromas of pine, spice and dark fruits are followed by a smooth, full bodied palate with notes of biscuit and caramel.

Pale Ale

Tasting Notes: 

Tasting Notes: A light, fresh Pale Ale, exclusively hopped with Citra, and fermented with a slightly more expressive fruit forward English yeast. Easy drinking with citrus & tropical aromas and a soft, delicate bitterness.

The Cream Ale (5.2%) is a cross between a Pale and a lager. This american style is brewed with a small amount of corn which gives it a unique smooth character.

Tasting Notes: Hopped with the Japanese hop Sorachi Ace. The aromatics of this fantastic hop complement the smoothness of the cream ale: With hints of lemon and vanilla on the nose. Currently A&H is the only brewery in London to regularly brew a Cream Ale.

Resinous with a punch bitterness

Tasting Notes: The IPA is a 6% hop hit. Always resinous with a punch bitterness. They are worth exploring!

Inspired by the Helles Lagerbiers of Munich and the Kölsch biers of Cologne, this beer is a hybrid of two of our favourite Lager-style brews. The use of Munich malt adds a delicate touch of sweetness to an otherwise crisp, bright Lager. Kölsch yeast introduces a light fruity note, which compliments the herbal, spicy aromas of the noble hops.

This straw coloured beer has generous notes of tropical fruits and pine in the aroma and flavour, resulting in a light, crisp and refreshing character, along with a lasting, dry finish.

Rich, Dark & Roasted

Tasting Notes: The Porter is Rich, Dark & Roasted. It won Silver at the International Beer Challenge 2013 as home-brew and then Gold in 2014 as commercial brew. A true beer of London!

The Smoked Brown (6%) inspired by the era when malted barley was kilned over fire giving the beers of Britain a Smokey character. This modern tribute uses Rauch-malt fired over beechwood in Bamberg, Germany – home to Rauchbier.

The big-brother of The Porter. The Stout Porter (8.5%) is a strong (stout) full flavoured, full bodied Porter.

Tasting Notes: A complex interplay between dark fruits, chocolate, coffee & liquorice flavours all derived from our blend of Pale & Roasted malts carefully balanced with British East Kent Golding & American Cascade hops. A beer that goes very well with itself.

Lots of flavor and pours over vanilla ice-cream

Tasting Notes: The Table Porter packs lots of flavor for its ABV and it also pours over vanilla ice-cream to create a great flow.
