The first of all the Baroosh bars opened in the year 2000 and has been a core part of the Hertford scene ever since. We know that there are few who can match our attention to detail, delivering consistent quality throughout, in a grown up atmosphere that seamlessly adjusts to the pace of your day. From an early morning coffee & brunch, to relaxing halfway through your shopping trip or business lunch, right up to that late night cocktail or celebration feast.

Asahi 5.0 Asahi

Light straw color with a large foamy white head. The aroma has rice, grassy hops, and grain.

Tasting Notes: Clean and crisp with a restrained bitterness and a subtle citrus aroma, this light golden beer was Japan''''s first "dry" lager. Its deft, distinct dryness comes from a carefully concise fermentation period, a minimum four week maturation period and the traditional addition of a small amount of rice. Fresh and with plenty of balanced finesse, it''''s an ideal accompaniment to the well-defined flavours and textures found in sushi.

Beck's Blue is a light, crisp and refreshing alternative with no compromise on taste. Beck’s Blue adheres to the strict Reinheitsgebot. Only when the distinctive Beck’s flavour has been allowed to fully develop is the alcohol removed.

Becks Vier 4.0 Becks

Launched in April 2006 for the UK market. Brewed in Bremen, but packaged in the UK. "The Vier brand, whose German name translates as "four", is being positioned at the top end of the standard lager sector.

Tasting Notes: Beck’s Vier is a 4% pilsner lager brewed with the same uncompromising approach to quality and authenticity as Beck’s. Imported from Bremen, Germany, Beck’s Vier is brewed with precision to the Reinheitsgebot purity law, which ensures that only four pure ingredients are ever involved. Budvar Original 5.0 Budweiser Budvar

Budvar's best known beer, always worth a drink.

Hertford Castle Ale 5.0 McMullens - DO NOT USE

A fine brew from McMullen at The Whole Hop Brewery, combining natural whole leaf arome hops, best Suffolk malted barley and McMullen’s own pure spring water.

Tasting Notes: Late hopping adds a subtlety to the traditional recipe, creating a truly distinctive taste for the ale connoisseur.

IPA 4.8 McMullen & Sons

Advantage is a light golden refreshing bitter made using East Anglian malted barley with a subtle blend of locally sourced caramalt, and also English whole leaf aroma hops giving subtle hints of fruit and berries.

A London brew with country roots, it’s a straightforward, clean, long-matured, unpasteurised lager that bursts with the classic flavours of East Anglian malt and Kentish hops.

McMullen Cask Ale 3.8 McMullens - DO NOT USE

This ale is inspired from over 180 years of brewing at The Whole Hop Brewery. Styrian Goldings added to English Fuggle hops achieve a refreshingly well-balanced combination.

Tasting Notes: The subtle biscuity flavour comes from pale ale and amber malts. Mixed with the citrus flavours of these hops, this creates a light and refreshing ale that all generations of ale drinkers will enjoy.
