Ascalon 3.8

A classic English style Bitter , the name 'Ascalon' being derived from the name of the sword that St.George slayed the Dragon with

Tasting Notes:

Brampton Best 4.2

Brewed using only traditional and classically english malt and hop combinations

Tasting Notes:

Brampton Mild 4.9

Actually it’s very difficult to describe as the characteristics change so much the longer it is allowed to condition for. At its peak it is so rich you feel like asking it if it will lend you a tenner.

Tasting Notes: Dark, roasted and jam packed full of flavour.

Brampton Stout 4.5

Awarded BEER OF THE FESTIVAL, Chesterfield Markets Festival, 2009.

Tasting Notes: A deep, rich and intensely satisfying traditional Stout ale, boasting a characteristic off-white creamy head. Roasted malt notes are perfectly balanced by Fuggles and Golding hops.

Curse Of The Bambino 4.4

We wanted to try our hand at an American IPA using American Hops & we sourced a new hop (for us) called Centennial & so when we trying to come up with a name for the beer we were looking for something that happened 100 years ago (i.e. Centennial) with an American connection & what we found out was that in 1919 , the legendary Baseball player Babe Ruth (pictured) was transferred from the Boston Red Sox to their bitter rivals , the New York Yankees & subsequently the Red Sox went on a 'trophy-less' run stretching from 1919 right upto 2004 & so the 'Curse of the Bambino' was created - Bambino being Babe Ruth's nickname. Our take on 'Curse Of The Bambino' is a 4.4% 'reddish' American IPA and we hope you enjoy it.

Tasting Notes:

God Bless The Absentee 4.8

The modern-day brewing trend is very much for massively hopped beers featuring numerous varieties from across the globe. So we’ve had a go at brewing a beer with just a single hop variety. That’s right, just one. Uno. Eins. Un. It is a good one – Cascade – and we’ve tried to be a bit imaginative with different formats of it added at different stages of the brewing process.

Tasting Notes:

Golden Bud 3.8

Complex malt character ensures it drinks well beyond its abv. Easy to drink and annoyingly moreish. Won “People’s Choice” at Chesterfield BF 2008.

Tasting Notes: A well balanced light, golden, hoppy bitter. Grapefruit nose and citrus flavours give way to a mellow, slightly sweet after-taste.

Griffin

Tasting Notes: A pale, slightly-sweet summer ale. Oat, wheat and pale-crystal malt combinations provide the back-drop for lots and lots of late-hopping utilising Motueka from New Zealand, and Chinook and Cascade from the States.

Impy Dark 4.3

Voted Mild of the Festival at Leicester BF 2008.

Tasting Notes: Packed to the gunwales with roasted coffee and chocolate aroma and flavours. Delicately hopped, Impy Dark is just how a mild should be.

Jerusalem 4.6

The rich and roasted malt notes defy the pale colour in this special bitter. Brewed as a one-off for St. George’s day it went down so well it’s made a number of re-appearances since.

Tasting Notes: A traditional bitter-style ale, the pale colour defies a rich maltiness normally associated with a darker ale.

Kuiper Belt 5.5

There are plenty of 'Comet' Hops in this new ale and this is where the beer name originates from - Kuiper Belt being the name given to the area in the Solar System where celestial Comets are born

Tasting Notes:

Monocled Mutineer 4.7

A new beer created to celebrate the opening of our brand new Pub The Glassworks. Percy Toplis (a.k.a The Monocled Mutineer) was born on Sanford Street , Chesterfield which The Glassworks Pub backs onto The beer is an easy drinking extra pale ale which finishes sweeter on the palate but is aromatically hopped with Simcoe and Cascade

Tasting Notes:

Speciale 5.8

Brewed initially only for bottles, this strong version of our best selling Golden Bud is now available in cask due to over-whelming demand.

Tasting Notes: An IPA-style ale, the fruity hoppiness is balanced beautifully by the residual sweetness of such a strong ale. Local Ale of the Festival, Chesterfield Beer Festival 2009 & IBA Midlands Silver Medal Winner, 2009

Terminus 4.2

Terminus is a Golden Coloured Hop Bomb which has been brewed with Comet , Chinook and Cascade Hops and lots of them

Tasting Notes:

Tudor Rose 4.6

Named after the County badge of Derbyshire – the Royally awarded Tudor Rose.

Tasting Notes: A well-balanced and creamy Pale Ale. Dominated by new-world citrus hops, Tudor Rose is built upon a clever combination of pale malt varieties.

Wasp Nest 5.0

A premium ale with a sting in the tale. Rich in flavour and dark amber in colour.

Tasting Notes:

Winter Bock 6.0

Where do we begin with this one? Generous helpings of roast and flaked barley make this a true Barley Wine in every sense of the word. A beautiful dark ruby-red in colour, sensible English hopping leaves a sweeter finish and divine mouthfeel.
