A child and dog friendly pub serving food with Sky TV and WiFi and a garden in Brentwood.

The Bricklayers Arms has been in the same family for over 57 years. Great Aunt Doll ran the pub for 12 years from 1962, when the pub had four bars. Keith Gardner and wife Sue (Dolls Niece) then took over as landlord and landlady in May 1974, after a brief stint in The Victoria Arms in Brentwood, where daughters Sarah & Aimee were born.
Keith's party lifestyle, humorous antics and natural ability to run a good pub brought customers from afar and he is widely known as one of the best old school landlords to this day.
Two more children , Louci and Lloyd, were born but despite having 4 children, Keith's wife Sue ran the kitchen and was often fully booked from Wednesday to Sunday, with her fantastic homemade cooking.
After Keith's sad passing in July 2016, their daughter Aimee and son-in-law Mark took over the running of the pub. Aimee carries the torch for her mother's great homemade cooking and maintains a party like atmosphere her father would be proud of.
With Keith's countless grandchildren, maybe the pub will stay in the family for another generation after we're gone.
