Bulls Head

A child friendly pub serving food with Sky TV and WiFi in Ashby-de-la-Zouch.

The Bull’s Head is on the high street of an historic market town. The pub itself is the oldest building in the town, dating from 1598. It still has some of the original features. It is a beautiful and traditional pub, with a modern, welcoming feel and a great atmosphere. In the day, it is the place to come for great-value food and drink, including our five real ales. We have SKY Sports and 3D SKY which can be watched on three screens around the pub for you to enjoy all of the match-day fun. Our outside area lets you soak up the sun! At weekends, we transform into one of the busiest party venues in town. We pride ourselves on offering great value, a great atmosphere and great service.

Drink % Brewery
Belgian Blue 4.9 Bradfield Brewery

This unique beer has Christmas berry overtones and a slight blue tint to the head – making it an unusual winter warmer!

Tasting Notes:

JW Lees Bitter 4.0 JW Lees

Our most popular & famous beer. It's an all-malt brew made from ale and crystal malt.

Tasting Notes: Amber, auburn, grapefruit, zesty, clean, dry and moreish

Landlord 4.3 Timothy Taylor's Brewery

Landlord is Timothy Taylor’s iconic flagship beer – a revered, nationally recognised classic. Four-time CAMRA Supreme Champion Beer of Britain and the UK’s top-selling cask beer. Brewed with Golden Promise malt, whole-leaf Goldings, Fuggles, and Savinjski Goldings hops, and pure Knowle Spring water, Landlord is crafted with an unwavering commitment to quality.

Tasting Notes: A classic pale ale with an amber hue, it opens with a complex citrus and fruity aroma, delivering a full but smooth malt body with a touch of sweetness, followed by a lingering, gentle bitter hop finish that keeps it refreshing.

Pedigree 4.5 Marstons

Pedigree. Now with added personality. They haven’t changed the taste. Just how it looks. So welcome to the new-look Pedigree, or “P” as it was first known. Strange that, looking back.

Tasting Notes: Anyway, it has a fascinating aroma, with a palate of biscuit malt, spicy hops and light fruitiness. It was renamed in a staff competition back in George Peard’s day. He was the Head Brewer at the time – that’s him on the clip. Cheers George.
