Tasting Notes:

Forty Two 4.2

In 1978, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy revealed the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything as the number 42. To celebrate Deep Thought’s deepest thought, this beer was created.

Tasting Notes: Black as space in the glass, DON’T PANIC! This beer - due to some rather clever brewing - has no burnt malt astringency. Packed full of Galaxy hops, there’s plenty of roasted and caramel characters to balance the huge hopping rate of this very drinkable session ale.

Gotham 5.2

Gotham keeps the complex strong taste of a Belgian Saison and adds more intricate hop flavours and holds back a little of the fruity, yeasty sharpness to form a mouth-wateringly complex and full-flavoured dark Saison.

Tasting Notes:

Great Grey Owl 3.6

A beautifully hoppy, slightly fruity session American Pale Ale. Golden Yellow in colour, made with a medley of 5 US hops.

Tasting Notes: A subtle biscuit malt background balances the strong hop character before a strong citrus bitterness in the finish

Haka 4.5

A unique and enticing 4.5% bitter, light gold in colour, packed full of fruity New-Zealand hops, including Nelson Sauvin.

Light Amber, this English IPA is not as strong as its American cousin, but it’s full to the brim with flavour.

Hopeye 4.2

A very hoppy golden beer.

Tasting Notes:

In Bruges 4.4

A beautiful, category-defying beer. It is definitively Belgian on the nose but is far lighter in the taste and finishes with a beautiful saison-like fruity tartness.

Invader 6.0

Cool fermented and conditioned cold for longer makes this a strong, malty lager. Beat the end-of-level boss and toast your success with Invader.

Mendip Spring 3.8

Mendip Spring is a crisp, tasty, pale straw-coloured bitter.

Moxee 4.8

A pale, fruity, easy-drinking IPA that showcases hops grown in the Moxee Valley in Washington State, a sub-region of the famous Yakima Valley.

Tasting Notes:

Nude 3.9

The use of golden naked oats gives this full-flavoured beer its distinctive orange hue and a silky smooth, nutty character to the malt backbone – just right to carry the American hops.

Tasting Notes: With Citra, Simcoe, Amarillo, Mosaic and Cascade used to great effect in dry hopping, Nude’s bitterness stays sessionable whilst offering up a rich, citrus nose. So, embrace your inner nudist with a beer that lets it all hang out.

Pope 5.1

Inspired by the Märzen Rauchbiers of Bamberg, Pope comes with savoury notes courtesy of renowned Beechwood Smoked Malt.

Tasting Notes: Pale in colour, the depth of rich flavours will be a surprise at first but, like all great Rauchbiers, it is extremely drinkable and well balanced with a mild spiciness to keep things interesting.

Simcoe 4.5

Golden in colour, a pale ale in style: fresh-tasting and with good malt backbone.

Tasting Notes: Hoppy without being aggressively front-loaded, the beer is subtle and delicious and showcases the fruit and pine notes of the US Simcoe hop.

Small World 4.7

With restrained New Zealand and English hopping, the bitterness is low but delivers a very drinkable orange marmalade character. A great summer session beer. And a welcoming drink for visiting Chartians when they get here.

Tasting Notes: Orange, marmalade

Union 4.8

Fruity, smooth and packed with Super Pride hops, this beer is strikingly good and very sessionable. This Pacific Ale keeps the bitterness low and lets the aromatics shine through with every single sip.

Tasting Notes: Fruity, smooth

Vicious 4.1

Hand-picked Worcester hops are at the heart of this once-a-year harvest brew. Vicious has all the swagger of Sid, with the invention of Jones. And it’ll never be Rotten.

Tasting Notes: Because the hops don’t undergo their usual kilning, this beer is packed with jammy, luscious, fresh hop aromas (that may not sound rock ‘n’ roll, but it’ll get you dancing).

Yeti 4.0

A 'Glacier Cool' Blond beer made with a beautiful balance of rugged North American hops, predominantly the crisp and gently fruity Glacier hop.

Tasting Notes:
