Castle Hotel

A child friendly pub serving food with WiFi and a garden in Leicester.

Situated in the rural village of Kirby Muxloe, just off the M1 and five miles from Leicester, the Castle Hotel is a beautiful 17th century pub restaurant overlooking Kirby Muxloe Castle. Originally the castles farmhouse, the pub has retained much of its charm, with open fires in winter, candlelight dining in the evening and al fresco dining during the summer months. Stroll among the atmospheric ruins of the moated 15th century castle after a relaxed pub meal at The Castle Hotel, or explore the pretty Swiss-style houses and 17th century church in tranquil Kirby Muxloe.

Abbot Ale 5.0 Greene King PLC

Full flavoured, smooth and mature taste with fruit cake characters , a malty richness and superb hop balance.

Tasting Notes: Mahogany in colour and brewed for longer to create a rich malty, and mature flavour.

Amstel Lager 4.1 Amstel

Beautiful golden color with a mildly bitter taste and cheerful character.

Tasting Notes:

Birra Moretti 4.6 Heineken

The ultimate Italian lager since 1859, Birra Moretti’s special blend of high quality hops creates a smooth, full bodied beer with wholemeal bread top notes which are cut by a delicate citrus note.

Tasting Notes: It is a bottom fermented beer with a golden colour. This colouring is a result of the type of malt used in brewing. Its alcohol content is 4.6% alcohol by volume. It is not a strong beer and is therefore perfect for drinking at lunch, at dinner or for evenings out with friends

Guinness Draught 4.2 Diageo

Rich and creamy. Distinctive, Ruby Red colour. Velvety in its finish. This iconic beer was developed in 1959 and launched as a celebration of the 200 years anniversary of Arthur Guinness signing his 9,000-year lease.

Tasting Notes: Aroma: Sweet smelling with a coffee and malty nose
Flavour: Perfect balance of bitter and sweet with malt and roast characters Palate: Smooth, creamy and balanced

Level Head 4 Greene King PLC

Level Head is quite simply a perfectly-executed session IPA. The aroma is hoppy, balanced between tropical and grapefruit notes, and at 4% it's a truly sessionable beer.

Tasting Notes:

Aspall Cyder 4.5 Aspall Cyder

Draught is a crisp, medium dry cyder with a delicate aroma and taste of fresh pressed apples. Crafted at the original Cyder House, Suffolk.

Tasting Notes: Fruity, dry, racy, thirst-quenching, lip-smacking.
