THE CHEQUERS is situated in the South Leicestershire village of Swinford, ½ mile from junction 19 of the M1 on it’s interchange with the M6 & A14, also within 1 mile of the 16th century Stanford Hall & it’s caravan park, thus, because of its geographical situation, is a popular meeting place.
Being a traditional village public house catering for all ages,a large garden includes children’s play equipment, with separate toddlers play-area. Traditional pub games are played –table skittles, dominoes, card games of crib & solo.
Food is available -in the form of bar meals, including vegetarian & children’s meals,

Southwold Bitter is a beautiful copper-coloured beer, late and dry-hopped with Fuggles for a distinctive, lingering hoppiness. Brewed with the finest East Anglian Pale Ale malt barley, sourced locally to the brewery. We use Fuggles hops which we add late in the boil to preserve the herbal flavours of this traditional English hop. We add more Fuggles to each cask so that the flavour of the hops infuses into the beer. It’s a perfect 3.7% abv in cask and 4.1% abv in bottle and can.
