Welcome to The Codrington Arms

The Codrington Arms has been recently refurbished and offers an exciting new menu created by our excellent Chef and his team. We have a fantastic range of draught real ales, ciders and lagers and we have been awarded the Cask Marque for excellence.

Our menu has a wide range of dishes from pub classics to restaurant specials to suit all tastes. We are proud that we source our food from local producers. Our popular Sunday carvery includes a choice of meats, a wide range of fresh vegetables including Chef's infamous cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire puddings, all cooked throughout the day to ensure fresh, perfectly prepared food. Please make sure to book to avoid disappointment!

For something a bit different why not try our Vintage Afternoon Teas. They include a range of delicious finger sandwiches, patisserie cakes, fresh scones and clotted cream. All served on beautiful vintage tea sets.

Come and experience our weekly entertainment at the Codrington Arms ranging from karaoke and live music to quiz nights.

We have a large garden that has a children's play area and an 8 piste petanque ground. Our BBQ area makes for a great summer's afternoon, we have disabled access and facilities and dogs are always welcome.

Our classic, golden Amstel Beer, with its very distinctive and mildly bitter taste, has over the years become well known beyond the borders of its native country. Tasting Notes:
	Birra Moretti	4.6	Heineken
The ultimate Italian lager since 1859, Birra Moretti’s special blend of high quality hops creates a smooth, full bodied beer with wholemeal bread top notes which are cut by a delicate citrus note. Tasting Notes: It is a bottom fermented beer with a golden colour. This colouring is a result of the type of malt used in brewing. Its alcohol content is 4.6% alcohol by volume. It is not a strong beer and is therefore perfect for drinking at lunch, at dinner or for evenings out with friends
	Foster's	3.7	Heineken
Foster's is the ultimate ice-cold refreshment. Its balance of subtle fruitiness and vanilla is ideal for the sweeter-toothed lager lover. The perfect session beer to enjoy with mates. Tasting Notes: A light-coloured lager style, it presents full malt character with a balanced clean hop bitterness. Combined with a slightly hoppy, but yeasty/malty nose, Foster's lager is a full bodied beer with excellent drinkability.

Doom Bar is a perfectly balanced beer combining subtle yet complex flavours, Doom Bar is both satisfying and deliciously moreish. Tasting Notes: “The aroma of Doom Bar combines an accomplished balance of spicy resinous hop, inviting sweet malt and delicate roasted notes. The mouth feel is a perfectly balanced and complex blend of succulent dried fruit, lightly roasted malty notes and a subtle yet assertive bitterness. The bitterness remains into the finish with dry fruity notes which implore the drinker to go back for more.” Stuart Howe, Head Brewer.

Thatchers Haze is a cloudy premium cider bursting with apple flavour. Tasting Notes: Crafted with Discovery, Falstaff, Gala and Jonagold eating apples to create its crisp sweet finish. It is the juice of the Jonagold apple that brings a naturally cloudy appearance to this chilled cider.
