The American style of bold and brashness is very much a characteristic of the now classic American IPA. Citrus, herbal and pine aromas blended with a subtle fruity palate produce a craft beer to be remembered.Cascade, Simcoe and Magnum hops have been expertly chosen by our brewers to achieve what we believe to be a beer to be savoured.

The original stalwart of the Black Sheep range. First brewed in 1992, Best Bitter is the iconic Yorkshire Bitter devised and created to offer beer with real flavour and bite. A different breed

Tasting Notes: Brewed with whole flower English hops, Best Bitter packs a genuine spiky bitterness with big character. Challenger, Goldings and Fuggle hops blend to create a beautiful aroma and flavour with kicks of grassy freshness and a big peppery punch. The Maris Otter malt offers a light sweetness that balances against those big bitter characters.

A refreshing blonde beer brewed using a specially selected hop to create a citrus flavour.

Tasting Notes: Anyway, it has a fascinating aroma, with a palate of biscuit malt, spicy hops and light fruitiness. It was renamed in a staff competition back in George Peard’s day. He was the Head Brewer at the time – that’s him on the clip. Cheers George.
